Default Just because I might be poor -

I have heard that beggars can't be choosers - and while that is true -

I still might have an idea of what looks nice -

I still might recognize well-made from not well-made -

I still might recognize good quality from poor quality -

I still might know that what might have been "expensive" is not always "appropriate" -

I can still recognize when something has been made with care -

I might still have a sense of what is good design or not -

Yay, Bear!! That is truly so worthwhile to remember! I shall pass it on as I am one of the "SoSec only income" people!

The most important thing to remember is: No matter how much stuff, money or anything else you have, you can't take it with you.

My grandfather use to say, "we're not poor, we're just broke".

Indeed, one can distinguish between better vs poorer......but if the need is great, the article will be welcomed....whatever the quality.
We were taught never to look a gift horse in the mouth. Just accept it gracefully and thankfully.
My mom used to say: "just remember there are children in Africa that would jump for joy to get this!"

I once hear "well until our ship comes in, we'll just have to keep paddling our little boat"

I was once or twice very poor. we now own a condo with all the amenities, a sewing machine, fabric, a husband that loves me and a son with a job. I'm so rich right now!!!!!
