Default Just Discovered Jack Reacher Books

I found one on Free Kindle books. I loved it! I like reading series books in order so I had to go back to the first book. Okay, this is a silly question. He basically roams...a rolling stone gathers no moss. What does he do to get his money?

Go to Wikipedia and you'll find a complete analysis and all kinds of info on Jack and all the books. Wow, quite a series! I didn't see anything about his money, but since he is ex-military he should at least have a pension. Maybe it goes into an account somewhere?

Do you really want a spoiler, or would you rather read more of the series and get your answer that way?

If you go back to the beginning and start with book 1, you'll understand how he gets his money. They truly are worth going back to read. Love the Jack Reacher series. I'm currently waiting for book 5 to be available at the library (as an e-book).

I too am a Jack fan! I was fortunate to find most of his books in paperback at a house sale. Since than I have added the 2 new ones in the last 2 years. Love him but not the movie that came out last year. Tom Cruise did not fit the mold of Jack at all!! Enjoy reading the books.

I guess not considering Jack Reacher is what....6'5"-6'6" and Tom Cruise is about 5'7"!

Keep reading. It will become clear in later books. I have read all of this series.

I have been an avid Jack Reacher fan for years now, from the first one. But Tom Cruse playing him in the movies has really put me off now. I keep seeing Tom instead of the 'real' Jack Reacher. Maybe sometime in the future, I will go back.

I will not go see the Cruse movie. He is not Reacher.
My daughter will not watch it also.
Do not want to ruin my image of the character.

I have ready many Reacher books in the past, cannot read them after Tom Cruise was cast in the role for a recent movie. No way does Cruise = Reacher.
