As an RN, I have, unfortunately, seen people die from PE's. Please take heed.

So glad they found it in time. Thank you for the warning. So many times we ignore warnings and wind up in trouble.

My DH ignored small warnings until a big one came. There are no words to describe driving him 50 miles to a hospital at speeds up to 105 mph when he had a heart attack a few years ago. We now live much closer to hospitals!

Oh yeah, I know the outcome on those blood clots can be very bad! You don't have to be in your 60's either. Our little friend Edy died at 19. Because she was young the doctor blew her off when she went in on a Sunday evening. On Tuesday evening her BF took her back in but she was gone by then. Couldn't he hear that she could hardly breath on Sunday? If we would have been closer to her I think I would have recognized the symptoms and done something about it because my mother had blood clots too. She was young, did not have much money and the doc told her to stop thinking she had heart problems because it was all in her mind.

Thank God that you are okay.
