If you use a fabric softener, it will make the towels where they don't absorb as well. I love the microfiber towels. They really absorb quite well.

I never use fabric softener but I'll still take the diapers over the microfiber.

I recently made some from fabric that I purchased at Hancocks and it is specifically for towels and is absorbent.
Can you share the name of the fabric that you purchased at Hancocks? I am willing to make some towels.

Costco has very nice kitchen towels that come in a package of about six towels.
I have bought many and like them a lot. They have pretty colors and patterns.

Try to find ANY dish towels made in the USA??? HA!! Good Luck! This is kind of random but......
When my DD was younger and having a crazy rash that we couldn't identify, I was told that "Bounce" Dryer Sheets consisted of tiny pieces of fiberglass. I have not used a Bounce sheet since then ---except to keep mice out of our canvas soccer chairs or mosquitoes away from biting.
