Default Bottom of Tote Bag

What do you use to insert in the bottom of a tote bag to make it boxy and not sag?
Do you cut the material the exact size of the bottom or smaller? If smaller, by how much?
I am making a tote bag and want to put something in the bottom of it.
I thought about plywood and making a sleeve for it, but plywood seems to be too heavy.

Any suggestions?

Thank you. Little Lulu was my family nickname when I was growing up; loved the cartoon.

I buy the sample of wood laminate floor from Lowe's. It's the perfect size for the totes I use, extremely light weight, rigid, and cheap.

I use pieces of campaign signs. Very sturdy but light.

I've used plastic canvas in a fabric envelope.
