My DD's kitty, Pooh Bear, is still living with us. She is an adorable orange and white tabby with the sweetest personality. I love Hershey's kisses and apparently so does Pooh. I have caught the little stinker stealing them out of the bag. She has even stolen Reeces mini's from DH. We usually hear her rattling the bags and stop her from actually eating the candy.

I know chocolate can be deady for dogs but what about kitties??? My heart would break if something happened to DD's kitty. I worry that she will find a piece of chocate without me knowing it.

I just did a search and yes it's bad for cats too. even though they probably wouldn't scarf down a whole bag like a dog would.

Hope kitty is fine. I had weird cats--they would only eat cat food and popcorn.

I had a kittie that loved gin & tonics. It was the only kind of mixed drink she liked and you had to really work to keep her away from them!

my kitty loves the dog food.. snuffs her nose at her own kitty food.. I don't understand it.. the dog food is hard and her food is nice and soft, and stinks like fish.. !! Whats not to love for a kitty?!?!?!? :?

Yep, I've heard chocolate can be bad for kitties. My aunt's dog ate a whole bad of Reece's (wrapper and all) and was fine. That was 4 years ago. Maybe it affects some animals more than others. Maybe check with vet to be on safe side.

Chocolate is deadly for cats.

I don't have to worry about mine. One time I let Cici sniff something chocolate; she very visibly & audibly backed up & gagged. Inky just ignores it; she doesn't care for much human food - just kitty treats.
