I had a moving fabric yard sale and left all my fabric the way I bought it. I did measure all and put the size on the pieces. I put a great price per yard and sold 1200 dollars worth. With the price people bought the big pieces. I did have some yards and also fat quarters that sold great too. Good luck

I would pin the amount of yardage and price in two different places on the fabric...one at top and one on bottom. This way if you would cut a piece, the other end of fabric is already marked. Also initial your tags so that you know that someone didn't switch tags on you. I've done one of these sales before, believe me, a little more work ahead of time is worth the headaches later. Enjoy your sale.

What a great idea for a sale! I would also leave them uncut and not bagged. I think most people would want to feel the fabric - I would.

Where in Texas will this sale be? I am in Houston.

I would have put small yardage in plastic bag long as it's big enough to see enough of the fabric without having to be taken out. It stays clean & therefore buyer knows that. The info on yardage available is great idea. The 3 or more yardscan be put in order on table in rows folded. That's how I did mine, but more brought the crochets items instead. Takes right area to sell right interested items, it seems.

Like everyone's suggestions and agree. What do you think about having a sign listing the total yardage of ALL your
yardage and a price for it all as well. Backings have been mentioned but those who sew might, also, purchase it for duvets, toys, pillows, clothing, etc. showing interest in fabrics in many colors and designs.

Wonnie, good idea. It is 2 day show--would be nice if I sold all of it in 1 day--dreaming !
