My brother and SIL have had a king size TemperPedic for about 5yrs and they love it. My SIL has a bad back and she says its the first mattress she could really sleep on.
I have a 4inch memory foam on top of my firm mattress and what a difference it makes! The smell only lasted a couple nights if I remember correctly. I kept spraying it with Fabreeze.

I've had a waterbed for the last 30 years and I dread the day I can't get in and out of it anymore lol. And I love the full motion, cause when I turn my hubby turns with me and when he turns I turn with him, so we end up snuggling all night

Get a Sleep Number...you can each set your side to what you want. Now we both sleep good!
Sleep Number here, too. My hubby wiggles a LOT, now I never notice and we both like different firmness. I have a memory foam pillow, paid clos to $100 for it and HATE it. Feels soft when you first lay down, but once it "matches" your head it does feel like a rock.

I have sleep number and love it. Never tried tempur pedic. My cousin has both she uses tempur pedic and her gd has sleep number. She says gd is always climbing in her bed! I like I can change how hard or soft I want it. I have a bad back, fibromyagia and sleep well. I used to have an aired and loved it but baffles kept popping!
Good luck! Let us know what u buy!!

I have a very old conventional mattress with egg-crate foam on top. I sleep fine but can not lie on my back for more than about 10 seconds, have to be on my side.
To tell you how old this mattress is, I got the foam to cover up the metal buttons that are on the top of the mattress.

My daughter has a memory foam mattress and loves it. I tried it and hated it (arthritic back, hips and knees). It fitted itself round me, and then felt hard. When I wanted to turn over, I had to sort of climb out of the hole that had formed round me, wait for that hole to come back up and the new hole to fit round my new position.

I ended up buying a 5in deep feather bed topper that sits on my pocket sprung mattress. Absolute bliss. It's warm in winter, and cool in summer (don't ask me how). It's always soft and supporting, cradles my old bones and feels as if it's cuddling me.

It gets shaken up and turned every time my sheets are changed, and in between I sometimes give it a little shake from the sides. I love it to bits.

Find a hotel that has them and sleep there for a night. I always thought a sleep number bed would be great, but my husband and I both hated it after sleeping on one at a hotel one night. Its a big investment!

I got rid of my memory foam after a few months, It was HOT. I felt like a was sleeping on a griddle. That foam really holds the body heat. I was at a time in my life where more heat was the last thing I needed.
