So I offered to teach a class on English Paper Piecing (EPP). somehow, that turned into at least once a month in one class, and a second class that's more structured. I can't do sewing or quilting, they already have someone for years that does that. it has to be fairly easy, and completed in 1 1/2-2 hrs. I'm open to all ideas. what would you like to do, make, see demonstrated. thank you all for your time,

Lynnie, a cute pincushion can be made with a few EPP hexagons. You can use as few or as many as you have time to make. You can use a coordinating fabric for the back. Of course, it will still take at least a little sewing to put the pincushion together, but it could almost be done by hand if need be. It is very good of you to offer to teach this class. Good luck in your adventure.

How about a couple flowers that can be appliqués to a background for a table runner. Or onto a tea towel.

Edited to add: I am assuming that the ones taking this class probably were interested in sewing and may have some experience or took the sewing class. Maybe start a mug rug project where you give them some alternatives to finishing it. Or doing the finishing in the second class.

the EPP class will be one I will teach. everything must be completed in the 1 1/2- 2 hr class.
Dotty (dotcomdtcm) just showed me some beautiful fabric flower she made. I need to do something
with them, like sew them down to something. I can't do a sewing class, someone else does the class.
I need whole new ideas for this class. Plus I have to thik of other classes for each month. keep the ideas
coming, and thanks in advanced.

How about a bowl cozy? Once you get the hang you can make one in less of an hour

I can't do sewing projects, we have a teacher who does sewing.
I went to the rummage sale today. the lady looked at me weirdly as I hemmed and hawed over 2 pairs of little girl jeans. I finally got a pair with bock pockets that have glitter sparkles on them. I got a man chambray striped shirt. I'll be covering a journal with mens upcycled jeans, and add a pocket to hold the pen on the front. thru beltloops, i'll put some crocheted lace. out of the chambray, i'll make a yo yo flower and put a cute button in the center. what do you think?

Plaited Rugs? (though that would require hand sewing)

All should meet the no sewing requirement ... and for potential attendees who do not sew, it takes it out of that box of being close to sewing.

If you teach EPP. You can have the flowers fused onto the tea towel. No sewing there other than the EPP

I'm sorry Lynnie, I am confused about how you can teach EPP and not do any sewing. I know some people use glue on the initial pieces but I think at some point the pieces need to be sewn together in order make any thing. I think I missed the point in your initial request.
