I can't believe he is 4. He is my last baby I am not ready for this 1 to grow up.

You all know I have to share this experience with you, my quilting family.

I made him put on a Birthday hat as soon as he got up this morning

I see you are right there with me! I am doing ok, just tired from the days events. He is so wound up I am not sure he is gonna sleep tonight. LOL.

Your "baby" is darling. I've enjoyed reading about some of his antics on here. My "baby" is 41 1/2 and made me a grandmother 15 months ago. She should only be your son's age, it seems. Time goes too fast.

Enjoy this time. Take lots of pictures and put the dates and names and places on them. Give him all the love you have and don't obsess over the little things he does wrong. Make sure you give him direction and reason to want to love you back. Don't try to be his best friend, you are the most special person in the world to him, his mother.

Trust me, in a very few days you will be using his empty room to quilt in, and wondering when he will bring his wife and kids to see you.
