A little purse help
#1
I want to make a purse but need a suggestion as to what to add to the bottom of it to keep it firm. I don't want to use cardboard as the pattern suggested. I was thinking of something that would be able to go through the wash? Any suggestions? Skip it maybe?
Thanks!

I used pieces of plastic cut from For Sale signs (we had some on hand.) I cut it to size and then make a slipcover for it. When I want to wash the bag, it is easy to take out and put back when the bag is dry.

I used plexi glass from the hardware store. I cut it to the bottom size of the purse. I bound the edges with electrical tape, and slipped them in a pocket in the purse bottom. They could be removed when the purse needed to be washed.
But if you want something permanent maybe some type of plastic webbing?
