If they were shorter, those thread snips would be very colorful in birds nests. Isn't it amazing how they can accumulate?

That would make neat Christmas ornaments. Layer it between water soluable stabilizer and sew back and forth. put in water then dry and iron. cut out in shapes. You can sew with metalic thread to make it fancier. Or use it in art quilts. I save my cut off threads in a box just for this purpose.

Looks like a wonderful bird's nest or some tree moss to thread paint on an art quilt! Thanks goodness this was not
on your sewing machine wheel like I had last visit for machine cleaning!

Its too bad we can't remove the wheels for cleaning all that thread out. It surely would make the task so much simpler.

I once found HAIR wrapped around all the wheels of my son's computer rolly chair...he had very long hair, and I think that chair collected every one that hit the wood-floor! lol

I took my Janome 11000 to the dealer yesterday because the tension was way off. he looked at it a bit and told me it is full of thread and lint so I am having it cleaned and serviced. When I saw your pile of thread the first thing I thought was "that probably came from my machine" I hope it is not that bad. LOL Thank you for the laughs.

I do that pretty often. I have carpet in my sewing room so clean the wheels on the 2 chairs and the beater bar ( think that is what it is called) on the vacuum. I use a new toilet brush and run it over the carpet and it picks up a lot of the threads.
