A few months ago someone posted a picture of her husband sleeping with a huge dog on his lap. I am sorry, but I don't remember where it was. DH saw it when it was posted and he mentioned it the other day. He wanted DD to see it, but we can't find it. If the person that posted could please send it to me or post it again, I would appreciate it a lot.

Thanks,

Maria

Aww......I bet he's cute sleeping and snoring too!
I keep saying I want 2 Great Danes when hubby retires.
He thinks I'm nuts! I told him they are WONDERFUL house dogs....he doesn't believe me.

They are the best house dog you can get because they are so laid back. People think they are big eaters, but since they are not overly active, they aren't!

I hope you get them!

There wa a guy that lived in the court next to us in Hawaii. He had a couple Danes in the states, but he also had a cute puppy named Drako...solid black that we watched grow into this enormous beautiful boy.
The guy would tell us that Drako didn't eat much and with the food that he was fed, his poo wasn't huge either...ok, that's a bit gross......lol
Drako was solid black and the owner had this neon flashing tag that hung on the collar so you could see him. Drako was smart as a whip and gentle as could be!
The guy moved and he said he had to go to the zoo and have a crate specially made for Drako and it cost him over $3000 to ship him back. OUCH!

Mortimer goes everywhere with us as long as it isn't too hot for him to be in the car, he is spoilt rotten! DH has a pair of boots he only wears on the farm, and Mortimer brings them to him and cries until DH takes him to the farm! They have their own language

I've seen DH cry 5 times in our marriage and 2 of those times were when we lost our Great Danes. That is the only draw back, they only live about 10 years. We,ve always gotten puppies because we raised them in our store, but now I would like to adopt one. there is a place here in NC where they rescue Great Danes. They come out and do a house check and check you out just like adopting a baby! Maybe next year!

That's what we'd do if we do get a Dane.
Or...go to Humane Society and get a dog there. Always worth saving a life. ALL of my animals have been saved from the fate of those places.
