Smile making the 10 minute " fleece hats "

I came across some fleece fabric I had in my "hoarding stash".I have made 28 hats in less than a week. I've joined an organization here in St Augustine to help the homeless.Still haven't gotten rid of all of the fleece!Isn't that called "killing 2 birds with one stone? "

I believe Jenny Doan had this type pattern a few years ago. I made a few for my DH and myself but can't find the instructions. I have lots of fleece left over and would like to make some for the local shelter. Anyone have the link to that.

I made some for Hospice in the next town and they just loved them.

I cut a rectangle, sewed up three sides rounding the corners as I sewed. Folded a hem and sewed it down, turned it inside out and was done. I have a basket of them by my door, everyone grabs one as needed. I also buy the stretch gloves after winter on clearance and keep those in the basket too. The kids learned to give them away to any one that needed them, there was always more at home.

My church sewing group also made 36 of these in one morning and took them to an agency that serves the homeless. We used the free Fleece Beanie Pattern & Tutorial on Craftsy.
