I'm in again, but I seem to be moving in the wrong direction.

We got rain, sleet, freezing rain and snow yesterday. Also some lightening and thunder. I am off school again today. We have used up all of our snow days so we will have to make this one up in June. The state senate is arguing over giving us extra calamity days because of the extreme weather. They have been arguing for a couple of weeks.
I hopped on the elliptical this morning. I haven't been on it in ages. Hopefully I won't be too sore tomorrow.

Saturday we got up to 81 then on Sunday when I got up it was 32 and dropping all day with freezing rain, sleet and thunder sleet. UGH when is all this crude going away for everyone. The roads were sheets of ice for coming into work. I waited until 830 to leave the house called the boss to let him know I would be late coming in. I love this company I work for, they are one of the best I have ever worked for.

Keep up the hard work, even 1 lb lost is a win.

In January I finally broke down and asked my doctor for a prescription for pain meds. I just wanted something to take the edge off so I could move. I have fought this decision for years, it just seems like a slippery slope. The first couple times I took them they really seemed to help, but not anymore. I don't want to go to something stronger, but I need to be able to move again. This is what I was afraid would happen, sigh. I have two sisters with MS who's whole lives are ruled by timing the pain medication. And yet they still can't function. While I don't have MS, I am so afraid of ending up in that position. Do any of you have a more positive experience with taking regular pain medication?

Not sure of your condition but acupuncture sure helps me and keeps me moving. When my back gets so bad an appt take care of it with fu at massage appt. people think it is a pleasure trip but don't realize when you hurt then someone needs to work on those sore muscles, well it helps and I can stay off meds.

Uh oh. My jeans that were very loose seem to be fitting me pretty well today. Has to be from all the French bread everywhere I look. Every meal, there it is. Begging me to eat it. Good thing I have to climb 4 flights of stairs to get up to our Paris apartment! So guess what we are doing for our first sightseeing adventure in Paris? A food tour! I will have to work like crazy when I get home just to break even this month. We spent our first 2 days in Geneva and yesterday in Dijon. Having a wonderful time. And guess what? No snow!

I am not sure what gives me the most pain, whether it is the fibromyalgia or the arthritis. I also get cluster headaches but the doctor doesn't know why.
