The winner for April is Susanna 10 with a 5 pound loss. SOmeone else had a higher loss but asked that I pass the FQ on to the next person. I will let her identify herself if she wants to. Congratulations.
We are all making better choices and getting healthier so we are all winners!

This is my first time joining a group, and it seems like this will be a great group to be with!! Weight loss is my never ending saga....I just keep trying...lose some...and then celebrate my good work and gain it all back! Yikes!! Hoping the thought of some new beautiful fabric at the end of the month will be enough incentive to kick start me again! Have been on a road trip vacation since May 1st with my hubby so I am just getting really started today. Altho I have lost .5 while we were away so at least I did not gain. Too bad our lives have to revolve around food. Maybe I can change that a little in my family. So...... here we go!!! (I can use all the help I can get!)

mjmachin, I could've written the first part of your post. I know just what you mean and how you're feeling. Been there, done that so many times I feel like a yo yo. Good for you not gaining on your vacation, that calls for a cheer. Hip hip hooray! Good luck with your weight loss. I joined WW last Thursday and will have my first weigh in tomorrow. Wish me luck. And good luck to all the members of this thread!

thank you thank you and a special thank you to the mystery winner. I am so excited. Now, if I can just keep it off this month that would be great. This is such nice group of people to talk with. Everyone is in the same boat I am in. I am 67 years old and trying to loose 50 lbs.

I am 56 and need to lose more than 50 pounds. I am having knee issues and I know losing would help. I have a torn meniscus and osteoarthritis. I need a knee replacement and would like to avoid it as long as possible.
I met with a health coach yesterday. SHe recommended a detox to help with my inflammation. I start it on Monday I sure hope it will help. I feel like an old lady at times. I also need to lose just for my general health. Right now my health is good and I would like to keep it that way.

Oops! Just realized I didn't subscribe to this thread. I wondered why I wasn't seeing anything.
I finally decided to start tracking my points with WW. I was doing the simply fill but found myself cheating too much and not making any progress. Plus it is kind of fun to track with a smartphone.
I started a new fitness challenge this week. Yesterday I did this circuit training kind of thing on video. My quads hurt so much today I can't even believe it. Today I was supposed to do 30 min aerobic but did Pilates instead since my legs hurt so much. My arms should probably be killing me too but my shoulders can't take the inverted push ups I was supposed to do. My 14 mo old DGD came while I was doing pilates. After I finished she got down on my yoga mat with her doll and blankie. She was saying up/down, up/down. It was priceless.
Here's a link to the workout I am doing incase anyone is interested in trying it.

Have at it, Pam. Looks too tough for me. I didn't sign up either. I should have. I gave up my Lyrica three days ago and I'm down 3 pounds already. I am going to try going back to Sit and Be Fit on PBS any day I'm home at 2:30 - no, I'm not. I don't have a TV. Charter overcharged me again so I dropped the cable - not the phone or Internet. I haven't got around to working out a replacement so I have a 40" Smart TV hanging on the wall doing nothing. I did miss DWTS Monday. Who went home? I could probably find it on here, but I haven't taken the time. I have a date for my next foot surgery so I am working on getting some things finished I have been putting off while I still can. There won't be time to paint the dining room, darn it. Miss Allie is growing up so fast. I have a DGGD in Missouri about the same age. I think she's a handful. I didn't get to spend much time with her when the family was here for my husband's celebration of life.

Pat, my daughter's knee replacement is going well except she has developed sciatica and can't sit. Other than that, she was cleared for work in two weeks. She's seeing my massage therapist who seems to be helping her. Hers is ill and I think he may be better for this kind of thing, anyway.

The girl who played Winnie in Wonder Years (Danika, or something like that) is the one who went home on DWTS. They had dances with 2 couples and she had to dance with Meryl. I thought she held her own. There are only good dancers left so there will be really good dancers going home each week now.
Allie is always really, really good but today she wasn't. I took her to WW and to lunch and she was a stinker. She was a stinker the whole day. I don't know what was up with her.

Congratulations Susanna 10! It's exciting to win the FQ's. I won a couple of times last year.

I've been staying on my eating plan and drinking that water. Yesterday I mowed the back yard for hubby while he finished putting in the garden. I don't know how to operate the riding mower, so I used our little gas mower for the whole back yard. I consider that some exercise for sure. My knee hurt just a little, but I was really proud of myself for sticking with it till I finished. Hubby was grateful too. Didn't take him long to mow the front.

I received FQ today from Silverfoxmag and Martha. I'm not sure which screen name matches up to Martha. I am heading out to mow the grass. I am only going to do the front yard. I don't want to push my knee too much. It has been doing better lately.
I am teaching paper piecing at guild next week and am having a hard time writing up the tutorial. Not because it is difficult but because I can't get in the mood to do it. My sewing machine has been in the shop for almost 3 weeks. It is killing me. I have been using my old one and it just isn't as much fun to use. They called yesterday but I can't get there until Saturday. The LQS tuned it up last time and didn't do a very good job. So I had to go to the next closest Janome dealer. It is almost an hour away.
