I love mare stare, the swaps, the births, cry along with the sadness and say LOTS of prayers.

Received a few squishies along the way, sent a few too. Built my stash incredibly- way back when I never thought I would have enough to do scrap quilts. Thanks to the sales, I have 12 tubs of fabric (yikes!). I have tons of ideas and never enough time to sew.

I check out the board every morning to see how everyone is, wish I had time to post to everything. Even if I don't post, I always send good wishes and prayers (sometimes it's too difficult to put into words how one feels) but I "feel" so attached to all of you here. Many friends that I would hope to meet someday.

I truly appreciate the board, admin and moderators for all the work you do. Thank you so much!
I feel the same way. Every Morning I walk away with a big smile on my face. I love seeing what others made. Ok I can't beat ya on the stash part, butI love my angels that have helped me along the way.

I've only been here a few months, but I can't tell you HOW much I've enjoyed this group. I'm not really big into "joining" groups.. but who could resist this bunch...
I've already gained 2 "sisters".. and met one of them, Sidmona, and her DH in person.
I've talked to a couple of others on the phone. Gotten squishies from a few, sent a few squishies out and have a few more in the works to go out.
I think I'd be lost without my morning chat fix.. Red Bull just isn't the same without y'all. Oh, and I'm being dragged kicking and screaming into the 20th century of quilting by some.....rofl...

I have been a member for only 18 months. I loved it from day one. I havn't met anyone yet but it is only a matter of time. When the 2 of us can get to meet. We live only a few miles apart. This board helped me come out of a hard time. Now I just enjoy. I have learned more about quilting on this online guild than I have on the one I go to whenever I can go to it. Thank you for everything.

I've been here for 17 months and what a ride! I've learned so much from all of you and really love reading about what everyone is doing. I've met two members and hope to meet more in the future. You are a very inspiring bunch!!

I joined the first time Jan or Feb 07...lost my computer  and had to rejoin/new name in July 07.

My favorite thing about the board is the members! The caring, sharing, friendliness, willingness to help, I could not have come across a better group of people and I appreciate being able to be here, every day!!!

I hope someday to get to meet some members in person, but I already feel as though I know many here very well...it does indeed feel like I am a part of a quilty family!!!

Being one of the "old timers", it's been just amazing to see the growth of this Board. :D I've been lucky enough to meet a few members in person too, when they came to my guild's quilt show & another that we arranged to meet at another quilt show.
I usually check thru' the postings at least once a day, even if I don't comment. I love that Karla got us involved in the Mare Stare last year - just another example of caring quilters. :)
I find inspiration here, not only in quilting, but also in living. I love that we are international & that we also are gaining more active male quilters - isn't it wonderful all the different perspectives we get?
I am in awe of those that have organized the swaps & the "hug" quilts.
I am proud to be a part of this Quilting Board & give many thanks to our Admin & Moderators for trying to keep this the incredible place it has become! :D :D

[quote=MadQuilter]Haven't been here long but "playing on the QB" is a must!

Sorry but I can't pick a favorite part.

I love the fact that there is room for every level of quilting expertise.
I love that no question is dismissed, even if it had been asked before.
I love the humor (some comments have me laughing out loud) and the cameraderie.
I love the motivation through other's pictures and suggestions.
I love learning - and not just quilty things.
I love the generosity of the members and the willingness to help out.
I love that it is an international group initially connected by our craft but in the end, we share so much more.
I love that there are men on the QB - it breaks the stereotype of the female domain.
I love that the occasional dispute is handled in a respectful manner and everyone returns to the playground once the tiff is over.

I love these answers. I love that BQ, (borrowing from you, Francey Pants  ), I felt a little odd, in that, none of my family and everyday life friends, enjoy staying home and creating the way I do...THEN, I found this board, and everywhere I looked, somebody was saying something, that i could relate to...HOT DANG, I'M A QUILTER BY CHOICE, AND BY HEART...It was like coming home!
Hubby now see's that there are ppl out there, like me...we joke about it.
He used to say, they were goofy like me, but little by little, as i read ongoing story type threads, jokes, showed him pics of animals, other places, etc. He really respects this board too. He says all kinds of positive things to me all the time now, instead of poking fun AT me.
Now, he laughs, WITH me...with US.
yes, we are from all over the world, have all kinds of perspectives, and different styles and ideas, even disagree, but what keeps this the best group I have ever belonged to, is, quilting keeps us united. We all love quilting. I have nothing but friends here. Talk quilt to me, and we are immediately on the same wonderful, healing, happy page.

I've been on just over 2 years now. I have seen a lot of people come and go in that time but the majority are all still here. I have only met 2 members (actually they are x-members now) face to face, A couple of super ladies that I talk to on the phone and quite a few that I email back and forth with. Miss Marcia is one of my phone buddies (although lately I know she feels I have abandoned her!) and it is hard to realize that I have never met her face to face!!! Its kind of funny when I send things or receive things from different members, Hubby is like" You dont even know these people!!" He just doesnt understand!!!!!!   I feel like I know so many of you ladies better than I know some family members!!!!!
I know from being on here, I have broadened my capabilities and have watched a lot of new quilters really take off! I have seen experienced quilters venture out into new territories too!It is just amazing the encouragement and inspiration that comes from this board!!!!!

I feel like I know so many of you, and yet we haven't met in person - yet! It's hard to believe I've been here for less than a year and a half!

I was just looking at Elle's and Colin's wedding pictures, and it felt like I was looking at a good friend's wedding pictures!

I've seen a mini-horse born live! Something I never expected when I joined a QUILTING group on-line!

I've learned more than I can count on 10 fingers and 10 toes.

I've sent and received squishies.

I have to check in every day, or I feel like something's missing.

I've participated in one block exchange and am now in another - something I never thought I'd do, because sampler quilts never appealed to me before. But having a little bit from each of several friends on the Board is so special!!!

And I've laughed till I can barely breathe.
