Never ever forget: Nothing is more permanent then a temporary fix.

Our shower head was leaking so I bought a new one and DH said he would install it. He used a metal pipe fitting between the wall and the shower head. It was bare metal and looked awful. He said it was the only fitting he had that worked. It was taken out that day. I knew if I agreed to that until he bought the one that was chrome and looked nice it would be there for ages. If something is not fixed right then I don't want it fixed at all.

Love the lego fix!!! Those things will probably be around long after brick has turned to dust.
we actually stopped at a motel that had a shower like that, but minus the vise-grips. They did offer to let me borrow a vise grip to turn it on. I declined and requested and got my money back.

the duct taped plastic jug for a mailbox rang a bell with me.
One winter when we had more than enough snow, we couldn't get our mailbox dug out. So in the bank of snow, I did manage to dig out a spot to sit a 5 gallon plastic bug with a USA flag taped to it, and "MAILBOX" written on the bucket. We did get our mail and paper in it.

OK my old fridge sported duct tape in the door and my hot water tap in my CLEAN shower had a cute little pair of vice grips these were VERY temporary fixes now I have a new fridge and bathroom--but the soda bottle is pretty clever

I actually liked the sprinkler idea! The BBQ grill was interesting. NO WAY would I step near that pool!!!!

Our fridge at work has broken shelves on the door. I may just get the duct tape out just so it alleviates the overcrowding. But I will do it later in the afternoon after everyone is gone!

It looks like you've been visiting my husband's best friend's house. It's always an interesting experience. Like traveling to a 3rd world country without leaving this county.
