This is the second year I have not wrapped christmas gifts with paper. I have sewn up cloth bags. I made some last year. After Christmas I got holiday fabric on sale for the next year. I made that fabric up into bags. I sew bags and add casings for ribbon to tie the bag shut. No two are alike. No cutting the fabric, just snip and tear.

I like this idea, the bags will be more useful than torn Christmas paper. Will try this next year.

My sister does this then collects the bags each year to use the next year. She got the idea from a friend who has gone 'green' in her family.

I like this idea too! Maybe I'll get some after Christmas on clearance.

Merry christmas... :D Where on earth, (or the web?) did you find this pattern? Would love to be able to do this type of things as it would save another expense. Thank you :)
