wow, I haven't been there in 25-30 years! My parents were both from there, Egg Harbor/Sister Bay. I have very fond memories of vacations there, but I imagine it's a whole different place by now! I wonder if the resturant with the goats on the roof is still open, I think that's in either Sister Bay or Ephraim.

Tina,
We have stayed with family up there, and it is beautiful. I'd google it, and look at a b and b. We have also stayed at little cabins in Hayward and enjoyed being by the lakes.
From one homeschool mom to another schedule time to get away! We haven't done this for over a year, our anniversary is next weekend, 33 yrs and we have a wedding and are taking our 2 youngest grandchildren over night. Good thing our 15 yr old is home to help us.

We went to Door County a few months ago. Stayed in Manitowoc as we only drove up to Sister Bay, toured the wineries (and tasted plenty!) toured the shipyards and went to the Maritime Museums. It was absolutely beautiful! Our 33rd is next year and we were thinking about going all the way to the tip for that anniversary. We will be looking for places to stay too, so I will keep an eye on this topic.

Sue I hope you can get away to celebrate!
We also need "affordable" unfortunately. Someone had mentioned Eagle Ridge and a quick check looked a little steeper than we can do. I need to go to AAA and get a booklet. It's just nice to hear personal recommendations though!
