The radios were sooooooo bad back them. Remember transistor radios? Remember when FM became a big thing? I stained and strained to hear the correct lyrics, and what, no internet to look them up on? What planet were we born on, How did we survive? It's a new world now ladies.

Jim likes to say "bathroom on the right" also....however, he does it on purpose.

Don't tell my favorite group, the Monkees, but I thought for the longest time that the first few words of "You Just May Be the One" were "oh nimbus" when they were really singing "All men must".

When my daughter was young, she thought "dancing to the music of an old jukebox" was "dancing to the music of an old shoe box". She is 43 and we still tease her about that!

Radios may have been the blame back then, some singers just do not pronounce words so you can understand them.

That's funny since the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is indeed, in Cleveland!!

My cousin married a man named Gustavio. We called him Stavio. In the early 80's the Stone's song "Start Me Up" was popular. Our 3 year old loved singing "Stavio" at the top of his lungs! He would always say Stavio's song is on!!

I misunderstood lots of lyrics back then, can't remember them now. When my younger sister was in grade school, the teacher had her class all write out the lyrics to the Pledge of Allegiance, just to see what those kids were actually saying. The results, as you can imagine, were hilarious. My sister wrote, "for witches stand"!

Don we now our gay apparel (fa la la la la...) was belted out as 'Don we now our day old Pharaoh' by our daughter. She also sang You'll die Carol! instead of Yuletide Carol

While this was a jingle for a commercial rather than a song, my daughter used to sing the McDonald's song as "Happy Donalds" instead of "at McDonalds"!.
