My mom didn't really impart any words of wisdom.

"I only have two hands" When we were waiting for dinner

"I'm shaking like a leaf" When she got overwhelmed

"Pile on top of Pile" When the house was mess.

We always wondered how mom knew things of what my sister and I had done... she always said she had eyes in the back of her head. For the longest time my sister wouldn't watch mom fix her hair because she was afraid she would see those eyes!!

...because I said so!
...if everyone else was jumping off a cliff, would you jump too?
...just wait until your Father gets home!!
...don't be so selfish!
...mercy me
...mercy!!
...well, I declare! (yes, she came from Kentucky)
...I can't have anything! (when we broke something)
...the world doesn't revolve around you!

One of our favorites spoken by my grandmother "Talk is cheap but it takes money to buy Michelob". My brother always got a laugh out of that cause he drank Michelob and thought she crafted that saying especially for him!

How about this one: If you can't say something nice about someone, then don't say anything at all.

My mom has been gone 25 years but I can still hear her say "This too shall pass", "God is in control" It has helped me thru many a crisis.
