It is an intermediate pattern, not really beginner friendly. The hardest stitches in it are M1R and M1L... make one right and make one left. These make right or left leaning increases, to follow the raglan lines of the sweater. If you are a determined beginner, you can look up YouTube videos to show you how to do these stitches.
Thank you for the pattern info. sewbizgirl. I will look the stitches up on u-tube. I have a friend that is an advanced knitter to help me as well.

Enjoy spoiling your beautiful grand daughters and please share your future projects with us.

An advanced knitting friend to help is all you need! You will learn some new skills.

Not Tula's... The bluish one is "Treasure of Nature" by Jason Yenter for In The Beginning. The pink/green one is "Winter News" by Cori Dantini for Blend.

Thanks, Giv! I just noticed the designer has made an adult version of the shrug pattern too.

SusieQ... they are cousins. Both look primarily like their daddies, who are in-laws. They don't look that much alike to me, except to both have the baby chubby cheeks and chins. They are both beautiful little girls, each in their own way.

Your granddaughters are gorgeous, and the outfits you are making are sew very cute, I just hats for little girls. I'm glad you are enjoying yourself sewing for them, I only have one granddaughter and she is now 7 and i have been making her the pillowcase dresses, she loves them.
