Thumbs up Spring!

I saw the first male robin today and the snow drops are up! The deer are scroungy looking as they are shedding their winter fur.

Any birds around here are buried in the snow that is coming down to join the other 12" we never got rid of!

Our deer are fat, across the street at the cemetary. They eat flowers, bagels and junk that the local kids feed them.
Sooo ours sre on the chunky side. It seems everyone here feeds the guys.so ares are always chunky.

I hear it's just around the corner from us, but it hasn't gotten here yet. Still have snow on the ground and we are below freezing. Later this week, it's suppose to get warmer. yea!

We thought spring was here last week. There were a bunch of robins in the tree outside my kitchen window. HA! Mother Nature was just messing with us. We got 6 inches of snow last night. Which is good because I work in a school so I got a snow day:-)

Our daffodils have been blooming for a few weeks, the robins never leave and the trees are starting to bud. Sorry ladies, but I miss snow and autumn colors - so it's a trade off.

So its out there somewhere.... Here we just got 10 more fresh inches of snow but it is to be warmer this week so maybe it really is out there. Thanks for giving me hope of spring to come. :

Spring is about 4-6 weeks away here. There was blizzard yesterday and it is about 10 degrees and it is snowing today. Everything is white. I have to admit, I'm really getting tired of white! Enjoy your spring weather!

My crocuses are blooming and I dug up and divided some of my canna lily beds two weeks ago. I noticed several of the native desert willow trees have budded out and I have planted some new bulb beds (gladiolus, daffodil and hyacinths) in anticipation of spring.

I'll know spring has arrived when the hummingbirds make an appearance on their way up from Mexico.

I love the Southwest!
