Ok it's been 10 days and he is still taking up residence in an under my cabinets. Last night I set 4 traps, two under the sink, one by the toaster oven and 1 in the dishtowel drawer. These are his favorite places to hang. So we went to bed early cause I haven't been sleeping well. Low and behold at 3:30 I heard a snap, and so did my deaf (?) watch dog. He started barking, so I had him. Or I thought I had him. Checked the traps and couldn't find one under the sink. Removed everything and it had flipped way in the back upside down, got my gloves, picked up the trap, and it was EMPTY!!! @#$%#%^(*&%^, this is what I said. Words came out of me that sounded like a drill sargent, and I am ashamed. So I checked the last trap in the drawer, and I do not know how I did it but I touched it with my left finger, and guess who got caught. #$%^&^$##, was loudly said again. I'm going out today and buy something to make myself feel better. So the score is mousey 1,me none. And so it continues.

So true. I haven't had a mouse in years. I have one that even catches spiders and bugs. Built in pest control.

What is a real hoot, is my larger dog, Blizzard. He can't hear anything, and he isn't seeing well either. But when that trap sprung he lost it. Heard that just fine.

Sound likes the movie Mouse Trap!

Sorry, I couldn't resist. When I lived in a first floor in the Bronx we had them often. Surprisingly we had no rats. I always used glue traps every where and caught them without getting hurt.

At least you aren't actually seeing the mouse? I started calling the mouse "Jerry" at my Dad's a few months ago. I always stay a week with my Dad every month and a few months ago he warned me there was a mouse in the house. This mouse was not only methodical. He followed the same path in the house at the same time every day...I actually watched him. It got to the point where I felt like the woman in the Tom and Jerry cartoons running around with a broom raised trying to kill the thing! I figured I would catch him no problem. Got a couple of those new traps that they go in and you just throw it away. Yeah right! I watched that stupid *smart *ss mouse until the day I was going to leave to come home and Dad had set an old trap with some cheese and lo and behold he got him behind the refrigerator. Thank goodness because "Jerry" was driving me nuts........LOL! What was really funny though was when I was sitting at the kitchen table talking with my aunt and saw the mouse run behind her in the next room. It was all I could do not to laugh. She would have screamed and jumped up on the kitchen table. You got to find the humor I guess.......lol!

What are you using in the traps? We had a problem of Fruit or tree Rats running the fenceline in the back yard. (once they got into the garage) They could get cheese and other semi hard foods off the trap without getting caught. We used peanut butter and that is what caught the rats, they could not get the peanut butter off easily!
