Love "Friendly Persuasion " with Gary Cooper...can't tell you how many times we've watched it...great family movie as well. Another one is"Hobson's Choice" with Charles Laughton...very English but also very easy to understand...most amusing. Anyone seen these?

I just saw "Kinky Boots" on Starz (I think). My husband and I both loved it. Its a PG story about a shoe manufacturer in Northern England that is about to go under until it finds a new market -- female impersonators. No sex, no foul language that I can recall, certainly no nudity. Unless you are uncomfortable explaining female impersonators to kids - its a good story even for a family.

I had to order it online, but it was worth it knowing I could pop it in my dvd player whenever I want to watch it again. I LOVE this movie

Love old movies. Real acting and real actors. Can't do without the classic movie channel. I like Greer Garson. Good ones on.

My two favorites are both comedies. His Girl Friday with Cary Grant and Rosalind Russell and Some Like it Hot with Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon. I can watch these over and over and catch something new each time. Maybe that's because I'm sewing too, but you understand.
