We closed on our home in Nebraska today and got the first of at least 15 trailer loads unloaded!! We are now watching the BB game and relaxing after a long and hot day. (one of the first things we moved was our futon so we could stay overnight.)

This will be a work in progress for the entire summer so no sewing will be done. Walls to paint and lawns to mow, and the homes are 4.5 hours apart. Plus a trip to California for a beach wedding, a wedding in ND, a wedding in Iowa and a family reunion in Nebraska so it will be some play also. I will be lurking around in quiet moments so keep the pictures of the WIPs coming. :-D :-D

Don't forget to take just a few moments for yourself! It will feel good when completed!

Congratulations! Hopefully my husband and I will be doing likewise in the next 30 - 45 days. Our house goes into escrow tomorrow (sold one - bought one) but they are 10 hours apart. Thinking we may hire a moving company - we're too old for this stuff anymore. So there may be little sewing in the next couple of months for me too. Going to have to do some moving sales in the meantime. Good luck, during your busy summer, stay safe on the roads and remember to take some breathers too!

How exciting to be going to a new home, but I can't imagine all the packing and unpacking to be done.

Just think, once it is done, how nice it will be.

Have a toast on me!
