Default mud slide in Washington

Did anyone see the evening news. Apparently a long arm quilter, Nicole Rivera {has quilting lessons on you tube} unable to find her 20 years old daughter and her parents. I seen her twice on the news. I was in tears hearing how brave she is. My heart goes out to her. She said she is getting her strength from the quilting community.

That mud slide is so awful it must be so hard waiting to hear the news on your family or friends. My heart and prayers go out to them all. I didn't see Nicole but saw where they found a grandmother and her granddaughter so young. I am in Fl. but originally from Pawt., RI. on a happier note nice to meet you. Sue

So sorry to hear about the mudslide, the victims and their families along with the difficulty of finding the victims. Thoughts and prayers going out to all involved.

One family had lived in that area for five generations. The other day they pulled a four year old boy out of the second story of his home and yesterday they found someone's dog. We can but hope.

This mudslide reminded my hubby and I that in December 1977 we were driving through Washington to get to the ferry terminal to travel to Juneau, Alaska--we were moving there--and there had been a landslide just before we arrived at this one area--we were so worried that we would be stopped and couldn't get to the terminal--thankfully, we were able to drive to the side of it and caught our ferry. This current landslide is devastating and we pray that all are accounted for and for peace and comfort to all those who have lost someone they know and love.
