HI, a few weeks ago, I posted on here a short story about my 3 baby Marginated tortoises. I thank you for everyone who read and gave comments.

Unfortunately, the smallest one, Ari, had died. I'm not sure why, but all I know is that I am very heartbroken to have lost it after only having them short of 1 month.

I thought those of you especially who commented on my post, would be interested in knowing this.

The other 2 are alittle bigger than Ari was and they seem to be doing fine.

Thanks for reading this, Chris turtlerouge

I'm so sorry. It's amazing how attached we get so soon. I'm glad to hear the other two are doing OK.

So sorry to hear about Ari. Tortoises are so neat. I have 2 Desert Tortoises ("Sammy" and "Nico") that roam around my yard in the spring/summer/fall. I always get a bit depressed with the cooler AZ winter temps cause them to hibernate and I don't see them for a while. They are such interesting creatures and definitely have unique personalities.
Please post a pic of your other torts. I've never seen a Marginated Tortoise.

HI, I will post most recent pics of the other 2 when i can find the gadget to download pics from camera to my computer.

Blessy, the one with the small circles on top of its shell, weighs .36 grams. it gained .2 grams from last Sat. Blessy has gained .2 grams since i got it on the 31st.

Centi, the one without the circles on top of its shell, has gained .3 grams since last Sat. In all, Centi gained .2grams since i got it on the 31st.

Blessy is 2 1/4" long and Centi is 2 1/2" long.

I've been keeping a record of their growth.

This time when I have enough money, I want to get a juvenille Marginated from the Tortoiseshack. they are expensive ($350 +38 S&H) but at least they will answer my questions, (they been answering my questions along)given me advice, and best of all, they will guarantee the tortoise's health for 1 week after they ship it out. I would like to get a female, that way, if my other 2 are males, they having a female, they wont fight each other.
