Default My birthday is coming

what should I ask my dh for?

should I let him go fabric shopping or ask for a gift card?
Money is tight right now, and I don't know if i'd like him to get
me fabric or buy on my own,, which will go to making gifts for others.
what would you ask for?

My choice would a nice dinner out. I prefer memories to tangible items. If I had to choose your husband going shopping or a gift card, it'd be the card.
Have a happy birthday.

thank you. He does take me to dinner on date nights, (Fridays).
we've been married 10 wonderful years. never a fight or disagrement.
he's a super guy. That's why i don't know. do i get fabric he pics out and have a memorable quilt, or
pick out my own, which will go to other peoples stuff. Ya know, to finish gifts for others.

So...it's a big delimma. He's good at colors, he always helps me pick out things. what kind of quilt
will it be if he pics out fabrics. (Definately a cat print)!

thanks for your suggestion.

Why not ask for that ruler or other notion you are finding it hard to buy yourself.

My vote--Go out for dinner and, if something quilty is what you want, shop together for the fabric! Is there some nice but rather inexpensive piece of jewelry that you'd like to have? --since you mention money being a little tight. Perhaps start a charm bracelet that can be added to as time goes by.

Unless he has done it successfully in the past, I am sure your DH would much rather give you a gift card (or money)so that you can pick out your material yourself.

My Dh doesn't do well with color combinations so I would go for gift card. Also think that is what he would prefer to give

there is a double heart rope bracelet i want, but it's kind of pricy now.
my son started me on a charm bracelet when he was young. i had 38
charms and then it got to bulky to wear. I also what
a Russian chrome diopside bracelet. but that's price too.
it will finish my set, though.

o.k. I give, i'll get the gift card if he asks..
