I bought new fabric last week. I "thought" I would get a chance to start on a quilt over the week-end. NOT! Too much going on, too many people in and out and I about blew a fit! LOL

Finally had to tell all of ds friends to go home! I need my life back! I NEED to quilt! I NEED to get my house organized and clean. I can't do that when everyone is here, eating, leaving me dirty dishes, not picking up after themselves, etc. The Holiday break is over, school started back up, and I want ME time! LOL

So, yesterday, I got everything in order, mopped, scrubbed floors and bathrooms. Did laundry all day, changed sheets, vacuumed, I did it ALL so I could start today on a new project.

I am excited because this is the first time since before Thanksgiving that I can actually sew. Wish me luck! Now, I just gotta get away from this board! LOL I will, in 10 more minutes! HEHEHEHEHE

How nice for you! I am back in school now...and this Sat DD heads back to her college campus, DH heads off to his work's national convention, and other DD is visiting her fiance in another state. I am looking forward to doing the same...some cleaning and quilting! I have loved having the girls home for Xmas vacation but it is time for my life to get back to some kind of normal!

Have a great time! I'm suffering from the opposite - for the last 2 weeks of the year I was off work (combo vacation time and plant shutdown) and sewed to my heart's content. I had to go back to work today, so now not as much sewing time!

Well, I got the tree down, everything put away, lights off the shrubs out front, but I can't get the spiral tree down out front because we had that ice storm and snow storm. I'll have to wait until Spring for that. So, my sewing table is up, I have one special task to take care of, and I have to go down in the basement and bring up the sewing machine. Was going to take care of the task and noticed that #1 hound either chewed part of her harness or they are so darn flimsy (yah, right, at $30.00) they rip at an angle, (get that one). So my first sewing project for the new year is going to be to get Bess' harness put back together again and then maybe, just maybe, I can do something for myself. I miss the tree, the decorations and the lights, but boy it sure looks clean, it sure feels clean and I sure am ready to get my rear in gear. Have a great day! Edie
