It is a lovely picture, but I would rather see it digitized so it could be stitched out on my embroidery machine!! Sorry, I guess I'm old-fashioned, but I think our bodies are too beautiful to deface with permanent tattoos. What looks good at 20 will look REALLY bad at 50!! Trust me!

I don't like tattoos but even worse, there is so much detail on that, it will be very painful to be done. Ounch. I think it would make a cool embroidery design though...

I've always wanted a tat!!! MY DIL has a beautiful one, and one of my best friends just got one...he's 62! I had my chance years ago...my friend and I went to get tats, and she went first...I chickened out!!

My dearest friend had a "Swinging Friar" put on her ankle when she was 65, she had another bat and ball put on her other ankle. Her son thought it was funny that he didn't have a tat - but his 65 year old mother had 2. She has since had eye brows tattoo'd also.

I don't even want to wear the same clothes from year to year, I can't imagine having to look at something permanent on my skin forever!! To each his own!

Its an odd tatoo considering your DD doesn't sew yet...if it were I would ask her to honor your sewing tradition in a different way.
Our youth doesn't seem to understand the permanence of tatoos or the impermance of their youth.
On the up side...the next generation will think tattos are a totally old fashioned parent thing to do LOL

just imagine a tatto of a German Shepherd dog---in time turning into a Charpay (sp), but the mental pic priceless........my daughters and one granddaughter have a few, covered by clothing except in the summer! I am not into self-mutilation.
