My dh is so sweet!

I have an older kenmore that was top of the line when we bought it 12 years ago. Computerized, does embroidery and all that. Well it is dead. It had been messing up for awhile and now it won't turn on without the screen going bonkers. To be honest I never wanted the embroidery option to begin with but I wasn't going to turn it down. It is however the only only electric machine I have that will take a 1/4" foot. My old old white machine has a needle that is to the left. So I have been looking at machines. I don't want a new one. I just love the vintage ones and decided on a 401. It will do decorative stitches and be plenty for what I do. So I told dh last night and he said that when we get taxes back most of it goes to the house but there will be enough to buy me my "new" old machine! Now to be patient till March or April!

Keep watching Craigslist. and join the vintage machine shop thread here- You might be amazed at what you can get your new machine for. I got a 15-91 in a nice cabinet with all the accessories for Christmas. Craigslist for $60.00.
