Love the cake topper! My brother had a similar one on his cake a couple years ago!

Rhonda, a lovely wedding, and girlfriend, you looked great!
So funny about Alisha...made me think of Funniest Home Videos...a little girl got quite irritated when the boy was supposed to take her hand to lead her...you couldn't hear her, but you sure knew what her hands and face were saying!
Zach was right, wasn't her? He wasn't getting married!
(maybe he already figures, one wedding will be enough!)
So cute, that you gave the bride and groom a 50th card!
Weddings are so beautiful and lots of memories...but I'm glad my three are all settled in...it was a lot of work!
Thanks for sharing all these wonderful pictures, and again, you looked beautiful :D

Thanks QC I appreciate the compliments and kind words! I am obviously proud of my grands and my kids. I was raised around my mom's 13 brothers and sisters and my dad's 3 brothers and their families. We had lots of get togethers and spent a lot of time at each others houses. It seems like everyone is so busy anymore they don't do much of this anymore. So I really appreciate the opportunity to see everyone when we do get together. Especially since I am an only child.

My DH and I definately enjoyed the day. My two sons had a falling out recently over work. Glen quit the job he had with Nathan's Co.- Woodsmall Electric and there were harsh words and problems with how Glen left. and there are still some not so great feelings so I am just glad Glen came to his nephews wedding and both Nathan and Glen talked to each other without any negativity. They are still learning and growing and I am glad they could both put their feelings aside for the day.

Loved the next two sets of photos - your son's wedding - wow, it's like groundhog day!! Everyone looked so "cool" - Isn't it wild going back in time? Your hair was much shorter too or was it pulled back?

Glad it was such a fun time.

BTW, my in-laws are both only children too. There are now 6 kids (including us "peripherals') and 6 grandkids and they love it! We have family functions fairly often and I know they feel so blessed to have so much family around them.

Thanks everyone. Esqmommy Nathan was into horses and country music at the time he married Jill. I had a cool pic of Nathan and his groomsmen in their black vests and black slacks and all were wearing their black cowboy hats standing on the front steps of the church but I couldn't find it!

Yes they were very "cool" back then. Nathan was chubby as a teenager then when he was 18 and 19 and running around with his friends he lost the chubbiness. He started smoking when he was 16 much to my distaste. He tried to quit when Jake was born but didn't stay off them. He was skinny then. When he and his uncle started Woodsmall Electric two years ago they and the guys who worked for them made a pact to quit smoking and he is now smoke free. But he has really gained the weight! THey live in motel rooms most of the time on the road on job sites and eat in restaurants too much. Tho Nathan does take a crock pot with him and sometimes he rents an apartment for all the guys to stay in while they are on a job that will last for several weeks and then he cooks more often than going to restaurants.

Just a quick funny! Nathan made several dishes for the rehearsal supper. He called me for a brush up on how to make potato salad. How long to cook etc. He asked me how long to cook the eggs. I said at least 5 min I prefer at least 10 min. He asked " So 40 min is ok right?" He had already cooked them that long!! I just hope they weren't rubbery!! I forgot to ask how it came out!!

I just remembered to look in another album and found this pic of the guys in their hats. Not the one I was thinking of bit is shows the hats.

Here is Nathan with his horse Apache. He was an Arabian yearling. Very sweet horse. Apache's only fault was he liked to lean into you and "Lay" on you!

I love that cake!! So cute, made me smile.

It's so nice to read about how close your family is. I think family is the most important thing, not that I was raised that way. It's something I've always craved, having a close knit family. I'm that way with my DH and kids and his family, but my family is purely professional. Each one has a degree and a very good job, my mother was a professor and my brothers and sisters mostly teachers. Me? Well that's another story, black sheep describes me well. I moved here to get closer to my DM & DD and that has happened, but one of my sisters and one brother live here and I never see them. So anyway, sorry so long. I think your family closeness is awesome!!! :D
