It is very exciting having that first grandchild. I have found that after 26 it is the same awe with each blessing that comes around. I have seen some of them born and what a blessing that is.

There is nothing better than being a Grandma. And the first one will always hold a special place in your heart. As with your own children, remember they grow so fast, so take advantage of all the time you can with her. Just last year my first grandchild graduated from HS. I sit here and think, wow I remember when he was just this small bundle of joy, and look at him now, all grown up. Where did the time go???

Beautiful baby girl! My nieces birthday is Dec. 5 and she is now 31. A young couple in our church just had their first baby on that day also. I've been waiting for her to be born so I could put the label on her quilt and give it to them. I missed the shower so wanted to wait til she was born.
You will love being a grandma and I hope that you are near so you can spend lots of time with her, spoiling her.
