These are my favorite little duckies. We have a pond in the center of our complex and there are a few dozen mallards.. then there are these. They are aggressive to the other ducks and to people so no one likes to feed them. They started coming to my deck for duck mash and well they know when we are due to come home. They wait on the deck rail for my husband. Then they hop down and waddle to the door, and they make a tiny noise not a duck quack at all.. and their little rears go back and forth like a wagging tail excited to see him. They love to be pet and do not allow any other ducks to come visit or get some of their good food. My cats think its like video time at the window. When the older cats go outside they simply lay in a chair and think of the ducks like they do my kittens.. oh bother.. more competition. Sigh. My neighbors are shocked as the ducks dont like any of them. I wish they really were mine!! anyone know what type of duck they are? is one male? female? one has a long white neck with black dots and the other much less white..
