I see that lots of you are sharing photos of your little piece of the world, so here's my favorite part of mine. I didn't think this hydrangea would make it after a unusually frigid winter but it came back better than before.

I am very unhappy right now. My flowers looked so pretty. I just looked out and saw a groundhog sitting in the middle of my pansy bowl having lunch. He has been eating others too. I plant mostly in containers and they are sitting up on a bench but that isn't detering him from climbing up there and sitting right in the middle, breaking off the plants. Any suggestions?

Oh and your hydrangea is beautiful. I planted one last year but it didn't bloom. I too was afraid it wouldn't survive the winter. It does have the starts of flowers on it now. Can't wait to see the blooms. I don't even remember what color it is. I guess I'll be surprised.

That hydrangea is a real beauty. I just love them, but it doesn't get cold enough here for them to do very good.
