I hand embroidered this Dedication Gown and Bonnet for this grandchild. Her siblings eventually worn the set too, when they were dedicated at church. I would come in from work and stitch every spare minute until my neck burned from keeping it bent over my work. This was featured in a Sew Beautiful magazine issue #80. The pattern is Heavenly Bliss by Petite Poche. My daughter wanted it stitched in blue just like in the magazine, so of course I did what mamas do-lol- I hope you like it.

It is gorgeous and your GD is adorable.
When my daughter was born 55 years ago, the first time I saw her, she was wrapped in a blue blanket. When I asked why, I was told it was the color of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This was in a Catholic hospital and the nuns running it were of that order.
