Get denture tablets. I would use 2 and fill the crock pot with hot water and let it bubble away.

Water and salt and just let it cook. I don't cook much, DH does about 95%, but when I do, I found that this really works.

I agree with this. I cleaned burned on grease from my cooktop with straight vinegar and it worked where nothing else I bought from the store did.

Get the cascade out and put some in the pot and simmer all night. Should be clean by morning.

I have put dawn in mine and turned it on high and let it cook for the day or overnight. It loosened everything up.

My dad used to collect antique bottles & used denture tablets to clean the insides. I've used them too with good results!

Well I have heard that coke cola works, if you let it sit, it eats through a metal coffee can, so it should eat through cooked on food Sorry to hear that happened.
