Default new embroidered pillow

Saturday I took a class on mylar embroidery and this is what I made. The other ruffle is an olive green although it looks brown in this pic.

I have never made a fancy pillow like this before, but am very happy with it.

Thanks. I hadn't taken a class in several years, so it was fun.

You did a great job with the mylar. You should also check out using the Angelina fibers. It has mostly the same look but because it's fibers you mix them and make your own color/design and then iron it and you have what looks alot like mylar to sew down. Very pretty pillow.

You sure can; you pick the color you want or mix them and I just place it between two pieces of computer pieces and iron it. You don't want it to get to hot or it'll turn it a dark color. It's that simple; you'll be surprised at how it looks. I just did a picture frame with a snowman and used it, the snowman glistens under the stitches. Lots of websites on it. Good luck and keep up the good work
