Default Sewing with Hanuka in Mind

I was in JoAnn's and they had Hanukah fabric for 50% off and now I am wondering if I could make something with it besides a quilt. Does anyone have any ideas of gifts to make with the fabric.

I have made my daughter in law a tablecloth and cloth napkins. One year the prints were so cute I made my granddaughter a nightgown and pajama pants for the grandson. Also doll clothes. I also made my daughter in law a table runner with the Star of David on it. What about place mats? I'm thinking of those for next year. Pillow cases for kids? Will keep thinking and see what everyone else comes up with. PS, I lived in Walnut Creek from 1972-75.

A tablerunner would be nice. Maybe a cloth to wrap bread in for the table. Longer candle mat for under the Menorah, matching bag for storing the Menorah. Cute little bags to put money or drindle in.

How about a wall hanging? Or, fussy cut some fabric and sew it on to a guest towel.

Thank you so much for the wonderful ideas. Think I will make some placemats for my children and the money bags sound great also. Where in Walnut Creek did you live Stictchnripper? Also where in Long Island do you live ChaiQuilter?

Crafty had a "peppermint twist" runner as a suggestion. I think that I will brave the Joann's again to find this fabric. Thank you for mentioning it.

I have problems finding cute Chanukah gifts for friends. (thank goodness for my hobbies.)

I would love to share with you what I do. I make my own Chanukah cards. This year I made one with a spinning dreidel in the center. When you open the card the dreidel spins. Everyone has really enjoyed receiving one. If you want to see one just PM me your address and I will make one for you to send snail.
