Default No more cotton!!!!! funny

I am making a quilt for the youngest son. He was in Florida, around Maimi, and I asked him to visit a fabric store and pick out a purple that he liked. Stressed that it had to be 100% cotton and not see through. LOL This child is not afraid to go into a store like this and was off to do fabric shopping for his mom in Oklahoma. When he got to the store, the girl(very young girl) that waited on him,(he is tall and very cute) asked what she could help him with. He told her and she showed him various 'purples.' He then asked her if they were 100% cotton. He said she got a blank look on her face and said..."I don't know, I don't think they make it any more." !!!! He was kind of shocked and went out to the car and called me and we both laughted!! He found some fabric at another store and that store still had a stock of 100% cotton.
Thought everyone could use a laugh today. I know my son and I had a good one!

Our young people aren't being educated in a lot of ways. This is just one sad example.

The proprietor of that fabric store needs to thoroughly train her employees. This is so funny!

Ha, ha. My hubby was in a large hardware store one year and asked where there natural sponges were. The clerk told him "they don't make those anymore". Sea sponges?? well someone should tell them.

To me the scariest part of this story is that that little girl will likely vote in the next election!!

I wonder how she thought 100% cotton was "made" in the old days? I'll bet he would have gotten the same answer if he had asked for silk!

I think the stupidity lies with the owner hiring someone that doesn't know fabrics or not training the employees.

I was in Sams yesterday and asked a young man if they had cornmeal...he took me over to an isle and handed me cornstarch.....I said, no cornmeal. He said what is that? I said, You know, the stuff chips and tacos are made of...thinking that would click.....Oh yeah! I wonder why we don't have that. BTW Sam's does not carry cornmeal, powdered onion, or tonic water..all items I was looking for. The Tonic water through this kid for a loop as well.
