Default No more mess!!

I just spent the last 5 hours cleaning my sewing room good! Now I need to go to the thrift store next week to donate some things. Sure feels good to have a clean work space again.

I did that a few weeks back because someone from the gym wanted to see my sewing set-up. Yikes! Took me all weekend and filled up the vaccuum with dust/bunnies, and activated my asthma! But it sure felt good to have a clean organized space again.

when she got here she asked "did you spend all weekend cleaning?" ... she makes crafts for shows and it sounds like she has a big mess too!

Must be some of us are doing at least a mini spring cleaning of the sewing room. I spent an hour or so organizing, folding, putting away and generally tidying up. It does feel good!

I cleaned my floor and table off last week but sadly I just put it on shelves and in drawers. At some point, I need to sort through everything

I'm going to try and clean mine tomorrow. Now that my DD is sewing in the same room it is more of a mess!!!!!!!!!!
I'm hoping to make more room for all my new stash.

Mine needs cleaning desperately, too. But whenever I get that urge, I just go take a nap.

A few years ago when DD, a very minimalist person, was in my sewing room with me she said, mom if something happened to you, I don't want to sort through all this fabric and quilting things and it's really not fair to leave it like this for someone to have to. I know she is right and that has motivated me to organize and get rid of a lot of stored items. Not just in the sewing room but the whole house.

I did not really do cleaning as such, but I went through a bunch of fabric and ended up giving about 5 Walmart bags to my church quilting group so that they can make some quilts that they raffle. That feels good too. Maybe I will get in there and do some real cleaning.

I did that last Nov. when I moved my sewing area to a different room. Took 3 days I swear and I was so very proud of myself when it was done. Lasted about a week. Sigh....
