My DH says that our "elderly guise" is our "perfect disguise." When we go out we sometimes have the funniest time when we do "elderly." Hint, hint, we are elderly

Very funny.
On the serious side, when I got some gray hairs, around fifty or so. The checkers would ask me if I needed help carrying out my groceries. I would tell them no. I didn't think I looked helpless and still don't at 68.
