Default no sound

I am having a problem when viewing videos on youtube or clicking on links with other videos. I have no sound. Checked so see if muted and it isn't. I am at a loss as to what the problem is, but for certain it must be something I have overlooked. I do have sound on Facebook but as soon as I click to go over to view it on youtube, no sound!

All other sound on the computer works fine. Anyone have any idea what might be happening here?
Thanks for help in advance.

under the utube - like a tool bar - and run you cursor along it and see if a sound icon appears. Sometimes those are slid to the bottom - slide it to the top. Hope that is your problem.

I was having the same problem last week.....my daughter showed me how to fix it. On the tool bar down at the bottom of your screen(right) you will see a "speaker" click on it and when the box comes up you will see "mixer" click on it and adjust the speakers and volume as needed. It worked for me hope it does for you.

Thanks for your comments. This morning I "accidentally" saw what the problem is, now was. The sound icon on the tool bar of the you tube, right next to where you click on the play or pause button, had an "x" next to it. I had noticed this, and clicked on the icon, but only got mute or unmute. Next to the icon I slide the bar and voila.....sound! Thank yo all so much for suggestions. Your advice got me looking around more and then discovered the "fix". We would have been in church this morning, but DH has symptoms of a kidney stone! Hence my looking around time here. God bless all for you concern and comments.

Thank you Carol, he still has the stone today. He needs to drink a lot more water or gator-aid.
