I love to read - I love to quilt BUT I can't sit still. Always have to be doing something. Walla!! A friend introduced me to Audio Books. Changed my life. Garden, quilt, clean house, etc. and still "read" a book. Bought a cheap (about $35.00) MP3 and I was in a new world.

I thought MP3 players were just for music. : )

I'm a few weeks from 70 years old (can't let grass grow under my feet) and a dinosaur when it comes to computers, etc. But now I'm in heaven and I don't get the "guilts" for neglecting chores. It all gets done!

I know my daughter has one and uses it for books. She loves it.

I should have mentioned that you can download Free audio books from your local library. Don't have to go out and buy them.

I still read traditional books at bedtime.

ah yes for sure the way to go! I have a large collection of audio books. Mother and all sisters all use them and I get them last so I get to keep them, I like to "read" a book more than once.

Wow, thanks for the info. I did not even think of using one for ebooks. I don't even have one or know how to use one. Time to learn for sure!

My DS is a long-haul trucker and listens to audio books all the time while driving. He wants to buy me an MP3 so I can do the same thing you are doing plus my music.
I am so glad that this little invention is giving you so much pleasure. May you enjoy many hours of 'reading' while working.
