My furry girl willl do the same. She wants to either sit on my lap or on the ironing board next to my machine or sometimes even will get on the extended shelf on my machine. Love her to pieces though.

What an adorable kitty! My question to you is, why are you trying to use HER sewing machine? I have a cat that owns a sewing machine, too. Occasionally she allows me to use it without interference!

Aww. Hard to disturb. However, I'd run the can opener or rattle the treats container and see her fly out of the way. LOL
