Why is it when you can't have something (cheese). That is all I want. I am not a big cheese eater, I don't understand. And now with the talk about peanut butter - that has been on my mind too. I haven't had PB in over a year. Hope everyone is having a good day and here's to a great weekend.

I am not getting email notices again so I had alot to catch up on. I started Oct out back on track but have not done so well this week. Why does it seem so hard to get on track and stay there? I am worried that I am going to goof around and gain back all of the weight that I lost. Missy you are so right about the head stuff being important to get figured out. I am the one choosing to slack off and I just keep justifying it in my head. I need to get my life calm again. It seems like I do so much better when it is calm and I can think straight. I am having a garage sale today and tomorrow so hopefully things will be calmer next week. My goal is to get rid of alot of clutter in this house. They say clutter is stress and it is so true. I feel so much calmer when things are neat and organized.
Thanks for listening to me whine! lol I hope all of you will keep me accountable, I know it is not your jobs but I have to quit goofing around and playing lets make a deal with myself. Why is it so hard to just do what is right?

Penny,
I felt so much better after my hysterectomy that I was amazed. They will not allow you to lift anything or push or pull. Gentle walking will be allowed and expected after the first week.

Be sure and move around, even on the day of the surgery. I know this sounds harsh, but that is how blood clots form. Just laying still for 24 hours can create one.

Missy,
Those cookies sound good. Now I will have to decide between baking a pumpkin pie for dh or making those cookies. I have been baking for him now that the weather is cooler. He loves home cooked goodies.

I made the best soup tonight, split pea with ham. I put in diced onions, potatoes and carrots, then add diced ham and 1 cup sour cream at the end. I served with french bread knots and apples, it was phenomenal.

I have been eating soup for breakfast! It is really helping me stay full and so much good fiber. I get so tired of oatmeal or eggs.

Peanut butter sounds good me to now. I bought some peanut butter pretzels at the store today, 9 pretzels make 1 snack serving with 9 g. of protein, my before bed snack with a small glass of milk.

Oh MJ that soup sounds awesome! I made roast beef hash for dinner. I know it wasn't the best for the diet but I used LOTS of leftovers. You mentioned that you added sour cream. I bought plain greek yogurt to use instead of sour cream.. It has a whopping 28 grams of protein! I was shocked!

I am topping my hash with green chiles, greek yogurt cheese (MORE protein!) on a low carb tortilla...YUMMO!

Hey everybody. I havent posted in a very long time. I have been in GA for the past 7 weeks, taking care of my precious sister, Judy. I am honored to have been her final caregiver. After a strong, brave battle with breast cancer, for the past 4 years, Judy passed away Oct 4. I know she is in a better place and no more pain and suffering, but I mourn for my loss of her. Not only did I lose my sister, I lost my friend, my confidante, my hero. I finished Judy's quilt this summer, which kept her warm her last 2 months. I have stayed on with Mama, as she is not handling all this very well. I will be heading back to Alabama early tomorrow morning, and Im taking Mama with me, for a fwe weeks. I am ready to get back home and get back to eating healthy. Even before Judy passed away, the community was bringing so much "good ole country cooking", and piles of pies and cakes. Im so mad at myself for doing so much emotional eating. I had lost 28.6 lbs and I dread getting on my scales, but I will get on my scales Sunday morning and face the music. I will get myself back on track with eating healthy. I told Mama the most fattening thing at my house is fiber bars and popcorn. Im also eager to get back to my quilting. Seeing Judy's beautiful quilt finished, makes me eager to get my next UFO completed. I hope you all have a good weekend. Now that my life will be slowing down again, I will be back on the QB. I've missed you all!!! Big hugs, Sandy

I know I told DH, after the surgery do me 2 favors,
1. As soon as they will let me, make me walk
2. As SOON as I can, Foley Cath. OUT!...

Thank you for the advise and thoughts! Penny
