Men do have their uses. :?

So - set your traps - check them - when you get a mouse - if you are truly squeamish - throw the trap and mouse in the trap - and then get new traps.

If one is frugal (cheap) - release the dead mouse from the trap into the trash. No big deal.

Mice love mint leaves. They eat it and then it swells them up. We live on a farm and did not have to many mice, but once in a while we saw one. Perhaps this will work for you. On the funny side of things, if you don't mind investing in Ferrets, they work the best. You won't even find a snake within one mile of your place.

Thanks for the info I may try the mint, but when they swell up what happens, cause I have to dogs. Can't seem to ferret the little sucker out. I'd love a ferret, but I'm afraid the guys would thing he was a chew toy. :x

My mouse in the house story!! I had what the doctors thought was a heart issue and had to wear one of those monitors for 24 hours. So I did what I normally do as they tell you. When my husband got home from work I told him I think a mouse in the baseboard heat thing, because the 2 house cats are starring at it. He takes the facing plate off and mouse and cats run into dining room. Now my husband wants to 'help' the cats catch the mouse and he is using his hands!! The chase goes into the living room & Hubby is taking the facing plates off as the chase goes on. And I am trying to remain calm. I said let it go and see if the cats get it now. So after a few moments the cats did have it but my husband surprised them and they dropped it and it runs back into the dining room. Now my husband gets the big guns out - a dust pan!!! Next thing I knew, he gets bit by the mouse, and it runs into OUR bedroom. Ok, that's it - I have to write this all down in the monitor booklet so they can see what I was doing when the monitor shows a spike in my heart rthymn. TG everything was normal because I didn't want to explain that again!

I have not seen hide nor hare of the bloody thing, and that worries me. No droppings either.

OK, so your dogs are the kind of watch dog that watches the invader (mouse) go by them. They did their job -- watched--right?

Bear, I agree with you...no big deal to empty a trap...fortunately, we haven't had any mice in this house since we've move in...however it's about 50+ years newer that the house we DID live in!
