I was at the dentist this morning. Kim and Dee, the receptionists, were talking about b-days (a very funny conversation that was) when I walked in and I mentioned I have a big one this year. Dee looks at me and says--she was totally serious--"Oh, 3-0?" I studied her briefly to see if she was joking, and she wasn't. After I recovered from my shocked (happily shocked) state, I said, Um, no, 50." She was truly stunned. She and Kim thought I was pulling their leg, they didn't believe me at all. Both went directly to the computers in front of them to check my birth date. I told her I have a 22 year old son--so I'd better be older than 30. My kids have had their teeth cleaned there before too, but not in a few years. They forgot that connection.

I still burst out laughing when I think of it. Maybe 40, but 30?? Nah. But I'll take it. After all, just how long can this last? :-D

    They made my day.

There are some on my website--one on the first page. And others in my posts...

I'm just going to bask in it for a while longer.

    Bask...bask...bask....bask (repeat).

I have noticed I look much younger on the weekends--no stress from work and more sleep. Beauty sleep is taking on a very real meaning. This is a third day in a row off--so I must be looking especially relaxed.

WOW! That's great! It sure beats them asking if you want a senior discount! See, quilting keeps us all young!

How great is that! They don't even ask if I want the senior discount, they just give it to me! BTW, you do look awfully young to have a child that old!

Bask away, but remember how much life you've gained in 50 years. Just don't tell anyone! We're all hush, hush here. LOL! And I hope your next 50 are just as exciting and fulfilling. Now get some sleep!

I think it's the fumes from cleaning horse stalls 365 days a year for all these years. Want to help?

Well, obviously it's lasted at least 20 years!!!! LOL. And I suspect it will last at least another decade. And I have seen pix!

Lol! I get the same thing, only it's not as fun when people still think I'm 12...

Naw, it's not really amusing until you're on the shady side of 30. That's when it starts being fun. Until then, you don't consider it a compliment for people to think you're still a kid. But after 30, you'd LOVE for that to happen! LOL
