I was at the dentist this morning. Kim and Dee, the receptionists, were talking about b-days (a very funny conversation that was) when I walked in and I mentioned I have a big one this year. Dee looks at me and says--she was totally serious--"Oh, 3-0?" I studied her briefly to see if she was joking, and she wasn't. After I recovered from my shocked (happily shocked) state, I said, Um, no, 50." She was truly stunned. She and Kim thought I was pulling their leg, they didn't believe me at all. Both went directly to the computers in front of them to check my birth date. I told her I have a 22 year old son--so I'd better be older than 30. My kids have had their teeth cleaned there before too, but not in a few years. They forgot that connection.

I still burst out laughing when I think of it. Maybe 40, but 30?? Nah. But I'll take it. After all, just how long can this last? :-D

They made my day.

There are some on my website--one on the first page. And others in my posts...

I'm just going to bask in it for a while longer.

Bask...bask...bask....bask (repeat).

I have noticed I look much younger on the weekends--no stress from work and more sleep. Beauty sleep is taking on a very real meaning. This is a third day in a row off--so I must be looking especially relaxed.

WOW! That's great! It sure beats them asking if you want a senior discount! See, quilting keeps us all young!

How great is that! They don't even ask if I want the senior discount, they just give it to me! BTW, you do look awfully young to have a child that old!
